Sharon Kyhl is a professional Forester and certified Silviculturist with over 36 years of U.S. Forest Service experience. She has worked in Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, and the Pacific Northwest. She has experience in preparing and implementing silvicultural prescriptions, conducting forest inventory, evaluating hazard trees, developing defensible space, cruising timber, and administering timber sales. Sharon has also managed programs in wildland fire, fish and wildlife, recreation, historical and cultural resources, and natural resource interpretation. In addition, she has experience in grants and agreements, grant-writing, and creating partnerships between private, non-profits, and state and federal agencies. Sharon is a graduate of Iowa State University in Forest Resource Management. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, fishing, wine-making and trying to keep up with her two sons on the ski slopes. She is Fellow and member of The Society of American Foresters, member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, and a Certified Tree Farm Inspector through the American Tree Farm System.
Keith Kyhl is Director of Operations and has over ten years experience in natural resource management. He has worked for Natural Resource Consultants (Jim Ficke) and several private landowners in Colorado. He has experience in fire mitigation and defensible space, forest restoration, hazard tree evaluation and removal, wildlife habitat improvement, erosion control, and road and trail construction and maintenance. In addition, he has several seasons experience with the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter, timber stand improvement crew, and in recreation as the Wyoming Youth Ambassador to America’s State Parks with Wyoming State Parks. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and has a passion for the environment. He is a proud dad and an avid backcountry skier, backpacker, mountain biker, fisherman and hunter. He is a certified burner.
